Back-flow Prevention
Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) is a device that is installed onto a plumbing system to protect your drinking water (potable water) and the city water supply from contaminants.  Most cities require a RPZ be installed at strategic locations in the plumbing systems, wherever there is a risk of contaminated fluids entering the water supply pipes.  A typical RPZ has test cocks and shut-off valves, and must be tested when installed, if relocated or repaired, and also on a yearly basis.  Systems or buildings that require RPZs include, but are not limited to:

  • Commercial Buildings
  • Multi-Family Housing
  • Sprinkler Systems – Lawn Irrigation or Fire Suppression
  • Boilers

Hamilton Plumbing can help with all RPZ needs.  New install, service or repair existing devices, testing and reporting to local agencies.  We offer a discount for units requiring multiple RPZ devices or testing.
